what happens when you put a city girl in the middle of a farm?

Well, that's exactly what I figured out last Friday. And yes, I even had fun! Apparently, putting a city girl in a farm isn't as harmless as it sounds!

Having fun in the car...it was a LONG drive!

Moriah and Josiah in a cute little corn maze

Aubrey and the Rooster...America's cutest couple!
"And it's all freaky freaky fresh...WORD!"

This, my friends, is how to sit upon a car....with STYLE!
Any place that has a PINK tractor has to be good!

Whilst I was out of my element, I did learn several things...
Rules are totally made to be broken....
Corn can be gorgeous!
Yellow Brick roads really do exist
Some people find mountains of dirt good entertainment...
When you ask a ten year old to look like you're having fun, this is what you get...

I also learned...

Ducks like to drink from holes in hoses...
Big huge balloon things attached to the ground are awesome....

and...

Even though most the time I'm more like this...

It can be really fun to get a little crazy, try different things...and dare I say it....get a little dirty!

Isn't that right Mr. Rooster?

So, when you put a city girl in the middle of a farm, she may scream a little, she may get a bit grossed out by all the bugs, she may not like all the dirt, but she may also have a lot of fun!

the sign of the ring tone

Sigh, one question, why is it that every time I blog I feel I must say sorry for not posting enough? You'd think I'd learn my lesson, but that never seems to be the case. So, as I wonder what exactly I should start this post with I suppose I shall start with the unintentional but mandatory...

Sorry I haven't been posting. And no, I don't have a good excuse. =D

Alrighty, now that that's out of the way, I have, have, have to write this post that I've been wanting to write for well, ever. Ok, a month. But still, forever.

I've been wanting to introduce to you....

MY VERY OWN CELL PHONE!!

Yes, you read it right, but since I like saying it, I'll repeat it......

MY VERY OWN CELL PHONE!!

Yes, it came complete with a....
Slide out key board
A built-in camera
A texting plan (!!!!)
An adorable pink case
And SO. MUCH. MORE!

Excited yet? Me too!

And yes, it was a total surprise. I was out shopping with my mom, and when I came home, I sat down at the computer to check my email, and suddenly, a phone started ringing. I'd never heard that ring tone before, but I figured my dad just changed his. But, I looked over and there was a pink phone. And it was my dad calling to tell me about my phone. It was awesome.

I think the real reason my dad finally gave in and got me a phone is because a couple of months ago, my mom forgot what time to pick me up at school and she was an hour late, and even though I called her with the office phone, it would have been nice to have my own. =)

So, now I'm the proud owner of my own phone. Oh the joy!

Love you all.

And, I suppose I shall also close with the mandatory....

I'll shall try to write again soon! =)

Oh and by the way, sorry about the hideous shirt in the pictures...I had just gotten home from school, and we have to wear uniforms, they actually not that bad....and also, the pictures are really bad cause I took them with my web cam...=)

one word...

School.

Oh school, how I love thee....
The books, the learning, the sense of accomplishment...
All compacted into one very. Long. Day.
But, really I don't mind that it takes me forever...
Well, only a little bit.

The part I really love about school is...
Everything.

OK, almost everything.

Everything except...

Math.

i love you moriah mei!

Two whole years ago today, one of my biggest dreams came true...Having a sister. Two whole years ago today, my parents were in China meeting a scared, little 19 month old girl. And on that day, I got a sister.

I didn't end up meeting her until 11 days later, but I'll always remember the night mom and dad called to say they had gotten her. I could hear her in the back round, laughing. When I heard her, I started crying, because it was really true. I had a sister! My very own sister.

Then the day I met her was probably the best day of my entire life. There we were with all my cousins, all my grandparents, my aunts and uncles. And then they walked out of the plane. I remember feeling so incredibly happy. There she was! In real life, right in my mom's arms.I was much too happy to even cry happy tears. It was a little bit hard to take it all in.

And that was two whole years ago! Two years! It seems like she's been with us forever, but that day I met her seems like yesterday.

Now, she's not scared anymore, she doesn't eat and eat and eat because now she knows she'll always have food. She's not sad when mom has to go to the store, because she knows she will always come back.

She is my sister. And I love her so unexplaniably much. I am so thankful God provided a sister for me and a family for her.

At this time next year, she will have grown even more, learned even more, and be even more secure.

Back to the present....

I am so thankful for this little China doll. I love it when she asks to have tea parties, and when she wants me to put make-up on her and do her hair...

The times, when we go to parks and I push her in swings, or when she climbs in bed with me at night. Or when she walks up to me and gives me a hug and tells me she loves me. Those are the moments I live for.

Moriah Mei, I love you so much, and I am so tremendously blessed by God that he gave me a sister-especially one just like you. Happy gotcha day, little sister, happy gotcha day.
